HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The US Marshals Task Force has captured a man wanted for second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
According to the Horry County Sheriff's Office, a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Larry Grant was issued on Feb. 21. Grant was believed to be living in the Conway area.
According to the Horry County Police report, a young teen girl claimed a man drugged her and sexually assaulted her in December 2011.
She claimed she was at Broadway at the Beach with a friend who called Grant and another man to pick them up. When they arrived at an apartment, she was given a soda to drink, and didn't remember anything that happened after that. Her next memory was being pushed out of a car on Highway 707 by her former friend.
The girl walked home, and weeks later discovered she was pregnant. She told police that her friend knew the two men, but she did not know their names. She had not spoken to the friend since that night.
Larry Grant was arrested in Myrtle Beach by the US Marshals Task Force on Feb. 25 and is currently in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
