FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – For the ninth consecutive year, IHOP restaurants will be offering each guest that visits a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes on National Pancake Day. IHOP encourages their guests to make a voluntary contribution to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Participating IHOP restaurants in our area include Florence and Myrtle Beach.The fundraiser will be held on March 4, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and all funds donated will benefit the McLeod Children's Hospital in the Myrtle Beach-Florence area.
National Pancake Day Fun Facts:
-During National Pancake Day 2013, IHOP served 4.5 million pancakes, and nearly $3 million was donated to children's charities.
-Since 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $13 million and has given away more than 22 million pancakes to support community charities.
-All free pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2013 would create a stack of pancakes nearly 13 miles high.
