MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Players have checked in, and on Saturday the NFL Combine in Indianapolis as college football stars try and begin the path to the league. It is tough enough to even earn an invite, but two Chanticleers will be there - running back Lorenzo Taliaferro and wide receiver Matt Hazel.
Both have had record-setting careers while wearing Coastal Carolina uniforms, and both also got the chance to play in college all-star games before the festivities this weekend.
Head coaches and staffs from every NFL team are in attendance, surveying on field and off field potential of players. Hazel is ready for things to begin, thanks to some advice passed down from former CCU players and coaches that have been there before.
"They just told me do what I do," Hazel said. "I've been doing it for years. Don't want to get over excited about it, and don't want to get too overwhelmed and mess up. They told me to just enjoy the experience."s
The combine runs from February 22nd-25th.
