1 person hurt in hit-and-run crash in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is on the scene of a crash with reported injuries in the Myrtle Beach area.

According to their website, the crash occurred just after 8 p.m. on Clay Pond Road at Arrowhead Boulevard. Clay Pond Road was blocked off to drivers.

A witness to the crash told our WMBF News crew on the scene that a moped was involved in the crash, and they saw one person lying in the road at that intersection. Battalion Chief Walker said the female victim was transported by ambulance to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, but her current condition is unknown.
