Police: Owner fires shots at suspected armed robber

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A suspected armed robber took around $350 from an Horry County business, but the owner did not make it easy.

The Horry County Police report states surveillance video from Tienda Mexican La Ideal on Highway 17 shows the suspect entering the store around 3 p.m. on Presidents Day.

That person walked up an aisle toward the cash register and tried to force their way behind the counter. they were met with resistance by the store's owner who had a gun.

The owner fired one shot in the story, and chased the suspect outside where he fired three more bullets and the suspect escaped across the highway.
