MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Grand Strand Choir Challenge is returning for a third year of fundraising for the Each 1 Teach 1 Entrepreneurship Institute.
It will be held at Wheelwright Auditorium on Coastal Carolina University's campus (108 Spadoni Park Circle, Conway) on Saturday, February 22 at 6 p.m. It includes church choirs, school choirs, and praise groups. The event is hosted by our own WMBF News Anchor Paula Caruso.
The 2013 Choir Challenge had more than 300 attendants and raised over $7,000 for Each 1 Teach 1.
"Each 1 Teach 1 serves to provide students with the tools they need to build prosperous, successful futures in education and business. The Institute is jointly housed in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration and the Spadoni College of Education at Coastal Carolina University. The Institute teaches middle school and high school students how to plan for the future, work in groups, market their ideas, make effective presentations, and much more. The students in the program are selected from local schools. Our goal is to help inspire tomorrow's leaders, who will teach the next generation how to succeed," a news release stated.
