HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry Electric Cooperative announced Friday morning that relief crews arrived from the South Kentucky Electric Cooperative, Union EMC in North Carolina, and additional contract crews to help to continue to restore power.
As of 8 a.m. Friday, about 7,968 Horry Electric Cooperative customers were still without power due to about 808 active outages across the coverage area.
"The additional manpower this morning gives us the opportunity to send at least one crew to each of our 24 substations," Horry Electric officials stated in a Facebook post.
