Sheriff's Office phones working again By WMBF News Staff | February 5, 2014 at 4:54 PM EST - Updated July 9 at 7:35 PM GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has been able to restore their phone system, which was experiencing technical difficulties and not receiving incoming calls. The 911 Communication Center was not affected by this issue, according to a news release from the office, so anyone with an emergency could still call 911. The phones stopped working on Wednesday, but were back to normal by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. It was an HTC-related outage, officials stated. Copyright 2014 WMBF News. All rights reserved.
