VisitMyrtleBeach.com a title sponsor for Kentucky race

Posted: Updated:

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Officials from the Kentucky Speedway visited downtown Louisville Tuesday afternoon with news of a new title sponsor for one of their biggest races.

VisitMyrtleBeach.com is the new sponsor for the September 20 nationwide race at the Kentucky Speedway. It'll be the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300.

Scott Schult, Executive VP of Marketing for VisitMyrtleBeach.com said, "We have 15 million visitors annually, but we need to grow that by a few more million. We have 100,000 rooms each and every day available for rent, and we need to fill those, and the core fan base for the Kentucky Motor Speedway, being Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, is a real strong market for us to continue to cultivate."

According to the speedway's website, this race will conclude a two-race weekend. Tickets and campsites for Kentucky Speedway events can be purchased through www.kentuckyspeedway.com, by calling 859-578-2300.
