Ocean Lakes to host seasonal job fair today

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Ocean Lakes Family Campground will be hosting a job fair today, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the site's recreation center.

The Ocean Lakes Family Campground is looking to fill seasonal positions that include competitive wages, bonuses, and flexible hours. The company is looking to add approximately 200-250 part-time and seasonal teammates to their year-round workforce.

"We are excited about the upcoming 2014 summer season and hiring approximately 250 seasonal and part-time teammates to fill a variety of positions, including Golf Car Attendants, Cashiers, Bathhouse Attendants, Recreation Attendants, Cooks, Security Officers and many, many more," said Ron Welchel, Vice President of Human Resources, Safety and Risk Management for The Jackson Companies."We typically rehire about 100 returning teammates and the balance will be new hires from the local community."

Candidates that are interested in applying are asked to bring a resume to the job fair.

    The Pawleys Island Chapel is being carefully moved across the street Friday so that repairs can be made on the building’s foundation. The church, which has been in the Pawleys Island community for about 50 years, is being lifted and moved across Myrtle Avenue between the North and South Causeways.
