2014 Grand Strand TechEXPO set for April 9

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The 2014 Grand Strand TechEXPO will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, exhibit hall A, April 9 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Space is still available for the opportunity to show off the technology products and services along the Grand Strand.

The EXPO is a chance to meet other exhibitors, find potential customers and partners and to display technology products and services for businesses, government and education. Attendance by technology professionals, government officials, education and the general public will be promoted, and will be free.

Organizers state that this will truly be "Technology Day" along the grand strand. The Horry County Schools Fifth Annual Technology Fair and Lego Robotics Contest, featuring hundreds of exhibits from these students and faculty, will be taking place in the adjunct B & C halls at the Convention Center. The afternoon will have many new visitors from thousands of students, faculty, parents, business and political leaders, all of whom will be invited to view the TechEXPO.

The cost for a 10-by-10-foot space is $245 for Council members; $290 for non-members. The cost includes "pipe & drape" booth space, 8-foot draped table and chairs, sign with the organization name, electricity connection, wireless internet, exhibitor break area with coffee and morning brunch, and a listing in advertising and attendee promotion.

We'll make it to the 90s again at the beach and the middle 90s inland. With temperatures a degree or two cooler than the last several days, no heat advisories are in effect, but the heat index will still climb to between 100 and 104. The afternoon and evening will see just a 30 percent chance of a stray shower or storm.
