Myrtle Beach International Airport reports cancellations due to weather

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach International Airport is receiving notification of many flight cancellations due to the weather Wednesday.

Airport officials recommend that travelers check their flight status before leaving for the airport. Among the flights already canceled are Spirit 379 out of Atlantic City, US Airways 2719 from Charlotte, Delta 4888 from Atlanta, and US Airways 2792 from Charlotte.

MYR officials recommend that travelers check the status of their flights with their respective airlines.

Nationwide, there have been over 1,100 canceled flights, including more than 500 into and out of Atlanta. There have been 3,311 flight delays so far today, according to the flight-tracking website Flight Aware.
