Report: Suspect attempts to rob Cracker Barrel in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Officers responded to an attempted robbery at The Cracker Barrel in North Myrtle Beach Sunday.

According to a police report from North Myrtle Beach, at about 3 p.m. Sunday, the suspect approached a cashier and gave her a hand-written note, stating that "this is a robbery." The suspect then presented a black handgun from his waist band.

The cashier told the suspect that there was not enough money in the register to go to jail over, and to "please walk away," the police report states. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 5-foot-4-inches tall, about 35 to 40 years old, with brown hair, a brown mustache, and blue eyes. The suspect was wearing a burgundy t-shirt, light tan Cahartt jacket with a corduroy collar, blue jeans, and boots.
