Two employees receive Merit award at McLeod Loris Seacoast

Loris, S. C. (WMBF) - McLeod Loris Seacoast announced the latest employees to be named Merit Award recipients during an event that was held on January 22. Sharon Dozier, a Clerical Associate at Loris at Loris Extended Care Center and Marsha Canada, a specialist with the Human Resource Department were presented with the award this month.
 
The Merit Award is given to McLeod Health employees, volunteers and physicians. The recipients of this award consistently exemplify service, and promote McLeod Health through vision, values and mission. They are nominated by coworkers, and chosen by The McLeod Loris Seacoast Service Excellence Committee.

    BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a suspect who robbed a BP gas station Saturday night, according to a release. The suspect robbed the gas station at 5053 Southport-Supply Road in Southport around 8:30 Saturday night.     Educators of the future are taking a stand, following a vigil held on the camps of Coastal Carolina University honoring the 17 lives lost in a Florida shooting. CCU students Tyler Bealmear and Kaycelyn Laymon have a love and passion for children and education, their hearts broken by the tragedy, but each refusing to let situations like these continue.
