MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Market Common will host an event to raise money for the Heather Elvis Fund on Thursday, January 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at the former Tommy Bahama restaurant on Howard Avenue.

There will be a $15 cover charge for adults, $5 for children, ages 5 - 12, and little ones 5 years old or under will be admitted for free. Those planning to attend are encouraged to go to The Market Common Facebook page in advance and join the event:

Local radio personality, Liz Callaway, of WRNN will emcee the event that will feature delicious fare from most of The Market Common's eateries and a silent auction of nearly 50 items.

Food is being provided by Gordon Biersch (Southwestern Egg Rolls w/ Jalapeno Dip), PF Chang's (Lettuce Wraps and Chicken Fried Rice), Travinia (Pasta Mia Nona and Spaghetti Bolognese), King Street, Crepe Creation, and Cold Stone Creamery.

Community members have donated an IPad Mini, Live theater tickets, Pirates Voyage, Palace Theatre, Medieval Times, Cordless Drill, Carpet Cleaning, Tanning Salon, Art Work, Gift Certificates from Franks in Pawleys, Dog Bed from Orvis, Massage gift certificates, Vacation Rental Stays, Hampton Inn stays, Arty Party for four, Vera Bradley Bag from Kangaroo Pouch, Grand 14 Movie Theater passes, Ripleys passes, Gene Ho Photography Gift Cert, Gift Baskets from Pottery Barn, Dolce Lusso, and Williams Sonoma. All of these items are up for auction.

Many in the Myrtle Beach community have followed, or even participated in, the search for missing 20-year-old Heather Elvis, since mid-December 2013.
