Report: Man beaten, robbed of $7 in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 31-year-old man reported to police that three males beat and kicked him, and then stole $7 while he was walking in Myrtle Beach Wednesday morning.

The victim told police that while he was walking on 17th Avenue South near Yaupon Drive, three male suspects approached him and hit him. The victim fell and the suspects began kicking him until he lost consciousness.

When he came to an estimated 30 to 45 minutes later, the victim realized the suspects had taken $7 from him, according to the police report.

The victim called police and described the suspects as white males, all about 5-foot-7-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall, with thin builds. Two were wearing blue jeans and the other was wearing black jeans, he said. All three were wearing black jackets.

The victim had a swollen and bruised eye socket, and possibly a broken shoulder, according to the police report.

Police were unable to locate the suspects after checking stores nearby.
