MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Current Charlotte Bobcat Ramon Sessions came back to where it all started to visit Myrtle Beach High School on Tuesday night, where the Seahawk grad was honored by the school tonight for his contributions to the city of Myrtle Beach over the last few years.
He was honored with a banner in the gym, and also awarded a key to the city. He is in his eighth year in the NBA, and his second with the Charlotte Bobcats, but coming back home always feels good for him.
"Being in the NBA is great, but stuff like this lasts a lifetime," Sessions said. "It's a blessing to be honored and remembered by a city you did a lot for. Just to be honored beside Buddy, you know, everyone knows who buddy is a guy who did so much. Just to be beside him, I can't believe it, it's a dream come true, man."
