Paying attention: Positive parenting seminar

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Kathy Crawford, a local Licensed Professional Counselor in Florence will hold a Paying Attention: a positive parenting seminar this January, 26 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.

All are welcome. Parenting can be a challenge at times and this seminar will help provide parents with tools to make it less challenging. This seminar will highlight key topics of positive parenting, managing technology issues with children, child behavior, and will touch on children with ADHD. Special skills to effectively parent children with ADD/ADHD will also be discussed.

Kathy Crawford has 25 years of experience, which include five years of service with the Department of Mental Health as a child and adolescent Psychologist.

    CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A jet ski collision near the Red Bluff Boat Landing in Conway on Saturday left one man dead, according to the Horry County Coroner's Office. Martin Dale McDaniel, 50, was rushed to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he later died of his injuries. The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Saturday evening.  An autopsy is reportedly scheduled for Sunday.  The Department of Natural Resources continues to investigate.
