Shot fired at deputies responding to 911 call

MAXTON, NC (WMBF) - A person is in custody in Robeson County after shots were allegedly fired at two sheriff's deputies.

The two deputies were responding to a 911 call on McLeod Road in the Maxton area just before 4 p.m.

Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealy confirms the deputies were not struck by any bullets and are ok.

There is a person in custody, but at this time its unclear if that person is believed to have shot at the deputies.
