BRUNSWICK, NC (WMBF) - The Brunswick Sheriff's Charitable Foundation has selected Hope Harbor Home and Brunswick Senior Resources to be the recipients of the proceeds from their 3rd annual charity ball to be held March 6, 2014.
The Foundation was established in 2012 and is dedicated to serve the people of Brunswick County by building permanent charitable capital to support programs and provide services that enhance the quality of life for all its citizens.
Hope Harbor Home strives to break the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in Brunswick County with safe shelter, advocacy, and education. The objective is to provide the best domestic violence center in Southeaster North Carolina, providing comprehensive care to women and children in need.
Brunswick Senior Resources is a not-for-profit agency providing programs and services, such as, Meals on Wheels, the Prescription Assistance Program, Medical Transportation, and the Boost Nutritional Supplement Program. Their mission is to promote the well-being and enhance the quality of life for all senior adults in Brunswick County.
This prestigious event, themed "Diamonds and Denim" featuring hors d' oeuvres, buffet, wine and beer, music by the Jim Quick and Coastline band, dancing, and live auction will be held on March 6, 2014 at Stone Chimney place.
