Myrtle Beach hosts events for all in 2014

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – From January through March, there are a number of events happening in and around Myrtle Beach. Check out WMBF's Event Calendar to find events in arts and music, culinary experiences, and dance or sport competitions.

Several places throughout the Myrtle Beach area will be hosting arts and music events, such as The Long Bay Symphony, Chinese New Year, and the Third Annual Collector's Event, over the next three months.

Festivals celebrating everything culinary can be found all over the Grand Strand, such as the Second Annual Taste of the Inlet, Conway's Chocolate Walk or the Myrtle Beach Beer Fest.

There are a number of events sure to get people's feet tapping and have them out on the dance floor. Several places throughout the Myrtle Beach area will be hosting dance-related events over the next three months. The 31st Annual National Shag Dance Championship Preliminaries will be at the Spanish Galleon while the Showstopper State Competition will rock the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Get competitive with the various sporting and running events that hit the area this first quarter of 2014. North Myrtle Beach will host its 31st Winter Run 5K and 15K in January, but if looking for more of a challenge Myrtle Beach will hold its 17th annual marathon come February. There are a plethora of events from volleyball and basketball to archery that will keep anyone busy and healthy this season, so click on WMBF's Events Calendar for a full list of events and information.
