Motorcycle driver killed, passenger airlifted in Dillon crash

DILLON, SC (WMBF) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash around 8 p.m. Sunday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The SCHP says a Suzuki motorcycle carrying two people, and a Dodge vehicle that was carrying 3 passengers crashed on Rd. 30 in Dillon. The motorcycle turned left, hitting the Dodge and both the motorcycle driver and passenger were ejected.

The Dillon County Coroner identified the victim of the accident as 36-year-old Anthony Pittman of Fairmont.

The Dodge driver and 3 passengers did not receive injuries, but Pittman, who was not wearing a helmet, was killed. The female motorcycle passenger, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, officials confirmed.
