DILLON, SC (WMBF) - After two hours, fire crews in Dillon have contained the fire that broke out in an apartment building in Dillon.

Dillon City Fire Department responded to the call from the St. Stephens Apartments on McNeil Street in Dillon with mutual aid from Dillon County Fire.

The fire chief said flames were shooting out of the roof, and four apartments were engulfed in flames when they arrived. Luckily no one was injured by the blaze that took two hours to control.

The families living in those four apartments have been displaced. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
