Woman suffers injury to face after beating in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (MyHorryNews.com) - Myrtle Beach police are searching for two black males in their 30s after an aggravated assault early this morning.

The attack occurred at about 12:45 a.m. Monday near the Family Dollar in the 1100 block of North Kings Highway.

An incident report said the suspect used a club or blackjack to beat a 34-year-old woman. He fled the scene on foot heading west, the report said.

When police arrived in the area, the victim was standing in the parking lot of the Circle K on Mr. Joe White Avenue with blood on her face. A second woman was holding a towel to her face.

The victim said in the report she was assaulted next to the Family Dollar on the south side of the store on the sidewalk. The report doesn't say what precipitated the attack.

Police called for EMS and then contacted additional investigators.

The first suspect stood 5-8 to 5-10, weighed 160 to 180 pounds and had a medium build. He had long hair and was wearing a windbreaker.

The second man had a similar height, weight and build, but had short hair. He was wearing a jacket and jeans, the report said.
