Orange Bowl notables from Clemson victory

-Friday's win was Clemson's first Orange Bowl victory since winning the national championship in 1981.

-The Tigers are 22-4 since their last loss in the Orange Bowl to West Virginia in 2012.

-Tajh Boyd's first touchdown pass of the night gave him 30 for the season. He is the first ACC quarterback to ever have three seasons of 30 or more touchdown passes.

-Sammy Watkins' 16 receptions and 227 receiving yards are Orange Bowl records.

-Boyd ran for a career-high 127 yards in the game, including his longest career touchdown run of 48 yards to open the game.

-Ohio State averaged 318 rushing yards per game entering Friday night, but the Buckeyes only ran for 193 against Clemson.

-Lake View senior and Clemson linebacker Quandon Christian had two tackles. He finishes his senior season with 38 tackles, a sack and a pass deflection.
