FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – An 18-year-old Florence man was arrested and police are looking for two more suspects after an alleged home invasion and attempted sexual assault on Pawley Street early Tuesday morning.

At about 3:30 a.m., three men went to a residence on the 700 block of Pawley Street, according to Major Carlos Raines with the Florence Police Department. The 54-year-old resident wouldn't open the door, so the men busted the door open and assaulted the man.

The suspects took two cell phones, some money, and prescription medication, Major Raines said.

A 23-year-old woman who also lives there called 911 from another room, and when one of the men went to her room, she hid the phone under her bed. The suspect took her money and put a gun to her head to force her into a sexual act, Major Raines said.

Another one of the suspects pulled that man away, and all three men left the house through the back door. As they were leaving, police arrived. Two men got away, but one suspect was found hiding under a car.

Antwan Jett, 18, of Florence, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and resisting arrest. He was booked into Florence County Detention Center.

Investigators are trying to determine the identity of the other two suspects.
