SOUTH CAROLINA (WMBF) - The South Carolina Democratic Party has released their annual report evaluating Republican Governor Nikki Haley.
The 2013 report card was unveiled on Wednesday, Dec. 18, and the reviews were less than desirable.
Their report card states the governor is "failing South Carolina for the third year in a row."
"If Governor Haley gave this report card to Santa Clause then her stocking would be full of coal come this Christmas," said South Carolina Democratic Chairman Jaimie Harrison.
For the Department of Revenue Hacking and a TD outbreak in a public school, she scored an F minus.
"When South Carolinians went to sign up for the credit monitoring service they struggled through the website glitches and the technical problems," added Harrison. "For this and for many reasons on the hacking Governor Haley deserved and earned an F minus."
In the categories of Ethics/Corruption Risk, Economic Mobility, Making a Living, Women Killed by Men, Violent Crime, High School Graduation, State Funding for Public Colleges, and Youth Unemployment Governor Haley got a F.
Her highest score was a D minus in the Education Funding category.
Haley's campaign adviser Rob Godfrey responded to the report card, saying "Democrats forgot some numbers - the more [than] 40,000 jobs announced, the almost 3 full points South Carolina's unemployment rate has dropped under Governor Haley, our ranking as the fastest growing economy on the east coast and the more than 18,000 South Carolinians transitioned from welfare to work. Not surprisingly, they also forgot the tens of thousands of people who have lost insurance under the Obama-Sheheen healthcare disaster, and the number of criminals Vince Sheheen fought to get off the hook in front of judges the senator himself appointed."
Vincent Sheheen has been a South Carolina Senator since 2004. He represents the 27th District including Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster counties.
He is launching a second gubernatorial campaign and again faces Haley as an opponent in 2014.
