DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – A truck wound up on grounds of the Darlington City Courthouse Tuesday afternoon after it apparently clipped another vehicle and the driver lost control.
An official with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office snapped a picture of the rented Penske moving truck after the crash. Sgt. Kimberly Nelson with the Darlington Police Department said the truck's bumper clipped another vehicle, the driver lost control, and drove up onto the grounds of the courthouse.
The truck did minor property damage to some benches on the grounds, but no damage to the building, Sgt. Nelson said.
The driver has been charged with two traffic offenses: too fast for condition and driving without a South Carolina driver's license, Sgt. Nelson confirmed.
