Blood drive set for HealthPoint on Dec. 27

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Georgetown Hospital System and the American Red Cross are asking for blood donations this holiday season. The blood drive will take place December 27 at HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness in Pawleys Island from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the blood mobile.

Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling 843.527.7173 or going to http://www.redcrossblood.org. HealthPoint is located at 12965 Ocean Highway.

In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.

    FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man that is accused of shoplifting from the Walmart on 2014 South Irby Street in mid-July.  The man, pictured below, is wanted for questioning by the Florence City Police Department.  If you have any information about the suspect or his whereabouts you are asked to contact the Florence Police Department at 843-665-3191.
