Jacob Park named Mr. Football S.C

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Stratford quarterback Jacob Park was named Mr. Football South Carolina 2013 at halftime of the Touchstone Cooperatives Energy Bowl on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. Park threw for more than 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns as he took his team to the SCHSL 4A, Division I state championship game last week.

Park beat out four other finalists, including Latta lineman Donnell Stanley, Northwestern quarterback Mason Rudolph, Christian Miller of Spring Valley and Daniel running back Jae'lon Oglesby.

Park is committed to the University of Georgia. He'll play in the NC vs. SC Shrine Bowl Game next week in Spartanburg, then enroll early at the University of Georgia, then play in the U.S. Army All-American game on Saturday, January 4th. Stanley has also been named to that All-Star game, and it can be seen at 1:00 on WMBF News.
