SCDNR unveils new online customer service portal


COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) – The SC Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and have made it possible for local men and women to purchase their hunting and fishing licenses and apply for lottery hunts on the DNR Online Customer Service Portal at:

The new site offers licenses, permits and registrations to handle the 1.4 million transactions DNR manages each year. The new site will allow DNR to save time and money, allowing the employees to focus on other important tasks.

"This is part of DNR's continued efforts to serve our customers more efficiently and effectively, by providing our state's hunters and anglers with additional features through the convenient and secure DNR Online Customer Service Portal," stated Don Winslow, Deputy Director of Outreach and Support Services with the SC Department of Natural Resource. "With more and more of our hunters and anglers adopting new technologies like smartphones and tablets, it only made sense to give them a system that is convenient, easy-to-use, and fits their outdoor lifestyle,"

The DNR Online Customer Service Portal provides the following benefits and new functionality:

• Convenient 24/7 access

• Credit or debit card payments

• Immediate receipt and temporary license for immediate use

• Lottery hunt registration

• Commercial Licensing

• Ability for county employees to manage watercraft and outboard motor tax information

• Conservation Enforcement access to licensing and registration information
