Friday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $425 million

Mega Millions® Jackpot Adjusted to $425 MILLION

COLUMBIA, SC (December 13, 2013) – The second-highest jackpot in Mega Millions® history draws tonight, and the advertised pot has grown to $425 million, a jump of $25 million.

The winner can elect a cash option of $228 million. 

According to a statement issued by Mega Millions®, the adjusted jackpot is an indication that Mega Millions® players from coast to coast are feeling the excitement.  Mega Millions® estimates ticket sales will reach $63 million today leading up to tonight's drawing at 11 p.m.

South Carolinians looking to take a chance on a $425 million jackpot can buy a ticket for $1 at most convenience stores and grocery stores in our state. Mega Millions® tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m.

The odds of winning the jackpot are long, about one in 259 million.
