Man caught in middle of burglary

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - A Murrells Inlet man is facing charges after being caught in the act of burglary by Georgetown County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies responded to an alarm call on South Waccamaw Drive just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they saw 38-year-old Stephen Lundy Singleton fleeing on foot.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Bloodhound Tracking Team was called to sweep the area and found Singleton hiding in some shrubbery.

Deputies then found a moped that had been reported stolen in Horry County.

Singleton was arrested and charged with burglary and receiving stolen goods.
