Falling tree limb causes power outage for over 3,000 in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A tree limb caused an outage that affecting over 3,000 Horry Electric Co-op members Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Facebook post from Horry Electric Co-op, the outage affected customers served out of the Brooksville substation Tuesday afternoon.

As of 2 p.m., power was restored to all but about 36 customers, according to the outage viewer on the Horry Electric Co-op website.
