Report: Conway man drives truck into house, threatens family with gun

Posted: Updated:

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly drove a truck into the side of a house, got into a fight with a family member, and threatened several people with a gun.

Horry County Police responded to Hall Road, north of Conway, Wednesday night after a report from dispatch. Officers established a perimeter in the woods around the house, and captured 46-year-old Danny Allen Bellamy. He was transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

The victim, a family member of Bellamy's, told officers that Bellamy got into an argument with another family member, left her house, and then drove his vehicle into the residence.

The victim went to check on Bellamy who was climbing out of his wrecked truck's window. The victim then got into an argument with Bellamy, which turned physical, the victim said, and said Bellamy pushed him in the chest and punched him in the head. Two other family members pulled Bellamy off the victim, and Bellamy hit them in the process. He broke free and went toward his house, saying, "I got something for ya," according to the report.

The victim went to his house to defend himself, and one family member told another to call police, the report states.

Bellamy then came out of his residence with a rifle, cocked it, and again said, "I got something for ya," but turned and fled when he realized a family member had called police.

Bellamy was booked on charges of assault, assault and battery – second degree, pointing and presenting firearms at a person, and criminal domestic violence.
