Fire at empty motel in Myrtle Beach under investigation

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach Fire crew put out a fire at an abandoned motel on South Ocean Boulevard Tuesday evening.

The crew was dispatched to 1405 South Ocean Boulevard at 8:05 p.m. and saw smoke and flames coming from the building, said Lt. Christian Sliker with Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue. No one was inside the motel, and the fire was under control within 20 minutes.

The fire is now under investigation.

Officials say an arson fire was set at the abandoned Holiday South Motel on Ocean Boulevard on November 22. Read more and see raw video of that fire here:
