Man robbed at gunpoint near Aquarius Motel, report states

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 48-year-old man reported to police that three suspects robbed him at gunpoint Friday night as he was walking near 12th Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue.

According to a Myrtle Beach Police report, the victim told police that just before midnight Friday, he was walking from his room at the Aquarius Motel, located at 300 12th Avenue North, towards Mr. Joe White Avenue. Three suspects, one brandishing a black pistol, surrounded him and took about $250 in cash, the victim said.

The victim said one of the suspects lived in the Aquarius Motel, but did not know his name or which room he lived in. The victim was "extremely hostile," according to the report, and made several threatening remarks about the suspect.

The victim was taken to the Myrtle Beach Police Department to speak to detectives, the report states. Officers patrolled the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
