Horry Co. Fire responds to Forestbrook home

FORESTBROOK, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Fire Rescue has extinguished the flames that broke out in a Forestbrook area home Friday morning.

Assistant Chief Brian VanAernem said fire crews responded to Reavis Lane around 8 a.m.

From Douglas Cline, Assistant Chief for Horry County Fire Rescue, was on the scene and told our WMBF News photographer that fire crews arrived at the house about five minutes after the emergency call.

The source of the fire was in the center portion of the home, and destroyed the home's porch.

The house is not livable now, and the female occupant has been displaced.

The woman had minor injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
