Restaurants prepare for those opting to eat out on Thanksgiving

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) -When it comes to eating out for Thanksgiving, it seems there are plenty of options for those on the Grand Strand and in the Pee Dee.

Many are offering deals like Damon's Grill in Myrtle Beach. Their locations will be open for guests from noon until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday. They'll be serving up the staple Thanksgiving day items like turkey and all the dressings.

The second helpings are free, and those partaking will pay $16 for an adult meal and $6 for children. The regular menu is also available for those wanting something else to eat on Thursday.

Damon's Grill servers tell WMBF News they expect to serve family-size crowds with most of those people being from out of town. Thad Thomas, a server at Damon's, said having to work on the holiday doesn't bother him; instead, he treats it like getting to be a part of other peoples' families for the day, "just make sure they have a smile on their face and enjoy their Thanksgiving." Thomas said he's fine as long as he's home by eight o'clock to spend time with his family.

There are also some restaurants offering carry-out specials like Croissants Bistro and Bakery in Myrtle Beach. They're offering a Thanksgiving feast to go. It's better to make orders as soon as possible, but they are taking orders up until Wednesday.

Executive Chef Brad Daniels said they can provide anything you need for your Thanksgiving feast "so if you don't feel like cooking, you can just come in and see us and we will take care of it for you."
