Chants draw Bethune-Cookman in FCS first round

CONWAY - After claiming its second straight Big South title on Saturday, Coastal Carolina football is headed to the postseason to face Bethune-Cookman Saturday November 30th at 1:00 at Brooks Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN3.

Last year the Chants beat Bethune-Cookman on the road 24-14 in the first round of the playoffs.

After losing to South Carolina on Saturday to finish the season 10-2, the Chants will have a home playoff game for the first time since 2010. It is Coastal's fourth playoff appearance in the program's 11 year history. The Chants were ranked 11th in the most recent Sports Network FCS Poll, and seeded ninth overall in the bracket. The top eight FCS teams received first round byes.

The Wildcats won the MEAC conference, finishing 10-2 on the year with their only losses coming to Florida State and Norfolk State. It will be the team's fifth ever postseason appearance.

The winner of this game will visit eighth-seeded Montana on Saturday, December 7th.
