MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach police are asking the public's help in locating a subject wanted for financial transaction card theft and fraud.
Shequita Washington, 26, is wanted in connection with an incident that took place on October 16, according to the police report. The victim gave her daughter a pre-paid Walmart debit card, who was unable to find the card later in the day, after making a $10 purchase.
The victim called, canceled the old card, and had the funds transferred to a new card, the report states. She noticed that a lot of the money was missing, and learned that someone made an unauthorized purchase with the card that evening.
Police went to Walmart and obtained images of the woman who allegedly made the purchases, and identified Washington as a wanted subject.
Washington is described as a 5-foot-9-inch-tall African-American woman weighing 286 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He last known address was in the 200 block of Rittenhouse Road, in Myrtle Beach.
