Seven people arrested during Myrtle Beach narcotics operation

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Seven people were arrested Wednesday night during a narcotics operation in the Racepath community of Myrtle Beach, Horry County Police officials stated.

According to a news release from the HCPD, the narcotics operation was conducted in response to information of drug activity in the Racepath area, located near Robert Grissom Parkway and Highway 501.

The operation was run by the Horry County Police Department's Narcotics and Vice Section and officers from the Street Crimes Unit.

Officers went undercover and tried to tell drugs to the suspects, said HCPD spokesman Lt. Robert Kegler. The operation was in response to residents complaining of drug activity in the area.

Michael Dewarren Spivey, 41, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. He resides in the Myrtle Beach, and is currently out of jail on bond, officials stated.

Six more were arrested for attempt to possess drugs. According to police, they were:

-Jacob Ronald Clark, 33. He resides in the Myrtle Beach section of Horry County.  He is currently out of jail on bond.

-Ricky Allen Cooper, 50. He resides in the Conway section of Horry County.  He is currently out of jail on bond.

-Tammy Evette Eller, 43. She resides in the Longs section of Horry County.  She was also charged with driving under suspension She is currently in custody at the J. Rueben Long Detention Center.

-Harold Lowden Hazelbaker, 64. He resides in the Surfside Beach section of Horry County.  He is currently out of jail on bond.

-Michelle Mari Johnson, 45. She resides in the Myrtle Beach section of Horry County.  She is currently out of jail on bond.

-Mihail Leonid Lubarsky, 32. He resides in the Myrtle Beach section of Horry County.  He is currently out of jail on bond.
