Man arrested for credit card fraud used it to buy cigarettes

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police in Myrtle Beach arrested a man in connection to a credit card theft that occurred in October.

The police report says the victim notified police one of her credit cards was used at the Kangaroo Express on 3rd Ave S.

When police investigated they found that a male purchased two cartons of Newport cigarettes, valued at $107. The store clerk corroborated the video footage of the suspect.

The suspect also tried to use the victim's card at the Scotchman on 3rd Ave S to make the same purchase, but the victim had already canceled her card by that point.

Oryan Deon Wimbush, 30, from Basset VA was arrested and charged with Credit Card/ ATM Fraud on Saturday, November 9.
