Man charged in crash on Third Ave. South

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police have located and charged a man who fled from police and crashed into two cars before his own car caught on fire.

Trooper Jones with the SC Highway Patrol said a Myrtle Beach Police officer attempted to pull over a 1999 Pontiac when it fled in the area of Third Avenue South and Kings Highway around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The Pontiac drove through a red light and was struck by another car. The Pontiac then struck a second car that was stopped at the red light on Third Avenue South.

The Pontiac then went off the road and struck trees where it did catch fire.

The driver of the Pontiac, 20-year-old Tony Mishoe, has been charged with disregarding traffic light, driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle.

There no injuries in the crash.
