MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – No one was injured when a handgun was accidentally discharged during the Myrtle Beach Gun and Knife Show Sunday, according to a police report.
At about 9:45 a.m. Sunday, a 55-year-old man was unloading his Glock 27. He said he was clearing the magazine of the weapon and accidentally pulled the trigger, firing the round in the gun, the Myrtle Beach Police report states.
No one was injured, and no damage to the exhibit hall could be found, the report states. The man was asked to leave the show and he did without incident.
An event coordinator for the show contacted Myrtle Beach police so the incident could be documented.
