NC man charged for alleged Craigslist robbery in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – A 19-year-old North Carolina man charged in connection with an armed robbery of a victim contacted via Craigslist has been transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center, according to officials.

Tevon Andre Allison was arrested on October 12 by the FBI Violent Crime Taskforce in Gastonia, NC, and transported to GCDC on October 24. He is charged in connection with an armed robbery of a victim in a Walmart parking lot on September 18, a Georgetown Police official stated on Facebook. The victim had listed his motorcycle for sale on Craigslist.

Authorities allege that Allison and a co-defendant robbed the victim at gunpoint and fled the scene.

Allison has been charged with armed robbery, grand larceny, robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
