SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Two teen girls are behind bars for a burglary in Surfside Beach, confirmed Police Chief Rodney Keziah.

Erica Lynn Osborne, 18, and 17-year-old Asia Alexis Lewis were arrested on Oct. 31 and charged with burglary, petit larceny, and malicious damage to real property. Both are being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing on Nov. 1.

Surfside Beach Police Chief Rodney Keziah said the pair broke into a home on Eighth Avenue North On Oct. 30, and police were able to find them because a witness gave good descriptions.

Police caught the teens trying to sell the stolen items.

Chief Keziah said that this is another prime example of community members and law enforcement working together. The detailed description given by the witness was a key component in making this arrest. It is always a good day when within 24 hours of a burglary you have two suspects in jail and all of the victims stolen property recovered for them.
