LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) - Laurinburg Police have jailed the man connected to the shooting death of 24-year-old Bryon Covington.
Covington was shot on Washington Street in Laurinburg around 5 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
An investigation revealed that Covington got involved in a disturbance between 21-year-old Kamel Stewart and a female when bullets rang out.
Laurinburg Police officers have charged Kamel Stewart with murder. He is being held in the Scotland County Jail with no bond.
