DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - A man with a history of breaking into cars was arrested by Darlington Police.
Patrol officers found that man walking near Blue Street and North Main around 1 a.m. with a bag in his hand. After talking to him briefly, police discovered 46-year-old Johnny Walls had items that had been stolen.
An officer noticed a GPS in the bag as Walls pulled out an unopened board game. When questioned, he claimed he got it from a friend but could not recall where that friend lived.
Walls also had two wallets, the police report states, and one of them belonged to another man. Police officers went to that man's house to discover his car had been broken into, and several things were taken.
Walls was taken to the Darlington County Detention Center where he was charged with possession of stolen property.
