MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a suspect wanted in connection to a strong arm robbery that occurred outside the Coastal Grand Mall Thursday.

The victim said she was walking across the Coastal Grand Mall parking lot after shopping. As she approached her vehicle she was pushed by a male, who took her purse off her shoulder, then jogged away and hid between two vehicles. She said he looked inside the purse for a second, then took off running across the parking lot.

A witness said she saw the suspect as he was running across the parking lot, and that there was another suspect with him, a white female with black hair wearing plaid shorts.

The MBPD said shortly after the incident, the male used one of the victim's credit cards to make a purchase at a convenience store.

If you have any information which may lead to the identification of this subject, please contact the MBPD at 918-1382, or the Criminal Investigations Division at 918-1975. Reference case number 13-022701.
